This might sound strange to you, but it is like this.
My purpose is not just to take photos. The intention is that the photographs I take tell you something of value: perhaps a story, an idea, or an emotion. They can talk about beauty (perhaps yours), suffering, or a thousand other things. That is the meaning of my work. Photographs, like dance, have their own language and way of transmitting. They can do it purely photographically, abstractly, and even symbolically.
And for me it is like this because that is how I am. It is how I see life. I like things that have value and that help us grow in some aspect. I am not interested in the superficial.
I have worked half my life in a sector where there is no human value, nor any other kind than the economic one, which is why I ended up offering my photos. Do not misunderstand me, I also work now to make a living. But if my work can bring benefits at other levels to the people I collaborate with, or helps them with their reputation, makes them happy, or makes them look better, I feel that I am in the right place. In addition, those photos help my clients make more money too. Here, everyone wins.
And I know that if you have come this far, you will be wondering things like:
- Is this the photographer I need?
- Is it worth what he charges for some photos?
You decide that. If you expect me to fill you with a list of my professional achievements, who I have worked with, the workshops I give, or the academies that have me as their official photographer, then I will disappoint you. Really, that is not what you are interested in.
Just tell you that in the last year I have worked with more than 20 academies, I am the official photographer of some of them. I have done several contests, such as the National Dance Championship, New Talents or Premis Coreografics de Cataluya. And covered galas like that of AEDA (Associació d’Escoles de Dansa Autoritzades de Catalunya), or the gala of Ballarins Catalans al Món.
I am also the official photographer of the company CreadanceCompany by Maria Rovira.
I do not sell photos by weight, like in a market. I do sessions without counting the number of photos, and sometimes even without counting the hours we are in the session. I work so that you take what you need to fulfill your objective. That is what matters, and that is what you are interested in.
Here you can see me working, lying on the floor, standing on chairs...
If I work with you and you see me doing strange things or standing in strange places, do not be scared. It is normal for me. I am like that.
